3M Home Health Systems Will Market

Manis & Ryan’s Cost Reporting Software

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah ¾ September 6,, 2001¾3M Home Health Systems, a business of 3M Health Information Systems, has entered into a strategic business alliance with Manis & Ryan, a consulting, software development, and Medicare reimbursement firm based in Woodland Hills, CA.  3M Home Health Systems will offer Manis & Ryan’s Medicare cost reporting software to its home care agency customers. 

              Manis & Ryan’s Spirit of 1728 and Spirit of 339 products work in conjunction with the 3M Home Care Management System to collect and report home care financial information for reimbursement purposes.  The software products replicate input and reporting worksheets required by CMS, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (formerly known as the Health Care Financing Administration).  CMS has established a November 30, 2001 deadline for submission of Medicare cost reports for home health agencies with fiscal years ending on or after October 31, 2000 through May 31, 2001.

              The 3M Home Care Management System is an advanced information system that manages all administrative functions of a home care agency, from referral and intake to contract management and reimbursement.  The system integrates clinical and financial patient data for comprehensive home health practice management, and is fully integrated into home health workflow.  It includes modules for clinical documentation, both in the office and at the point of care, and for employee scheduling.
